of Solitude Rating: R for hard language, sexual situations, violence and death. ANGST CITY AHEAD! ***************************** A clenched fist slammed hard into the wall of the dimmed room as Riddick yelled at the woman before him. "Can't you see... I LOVE YO--" "...I HATE YOU!" she interrupted with tears stinging in her eyes. She would never again cry for him or by his hand. She had cried enough over him and what he had done to her. "...I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT YOU!" Dammit, I can breathe you, I can taste you, I can smell you..," he muttered as he started to pace the floor in the small apartment, trying to ignore her words. How could she hate him? After all he had done for her?! No, she loved him. "Riddick! Fuck you! Don't do this!" she moved over to the front door and started to unlock all the locks. "Listen... I just CAN'T take any more of this shit! You do NOT love me! You do NOT know how to LOVE!" Riddick sank to his knees, crushed by her words. They stung in his heart. Twisted it in the iron grip her words, presence and scents had on it. His eyes closed for a fraction of a second and his mind, feelings and claims ricocheted madly around in his skull. They flew open as he started to shake his head slowly. His trembling hands clenched around the gun and he lifted it, aiming it at the woman before him. The woman he KNEW was HIS. The woman he would MAKE HIS. "You don't UNDERSTAND!" he roared, his finger itching at the trigger as his gaze filled with longing, want and possession raised to meet hers. "This life of solitude is killing me. KILLING ME!" She yanked the door open and pointed out into the dark hallway. "I'm done with you, Riddick! Leave... please just... GET OU--" A gunshot filled the room, silencing the words he didn't want to hear. "SHUT UP!" he cried out as he lowered his hands and the gun slipped from his fingers, hitting the floor. He stared at her as she shrunk back against the door with a hand over her mouth. Her eyes were wide in fear. "Close
the FUCKIN' DOOR! I am NOT LEAVING!" he picked up the gun again and staggered
to his feet, leaning against the wall. He cocked his head and shook it in disbelief
as he waved the gun around. "P-please..." her voice tiny and filled with fear whispered as she closed the door slowly, locking it with her eyes glued to the gun in Riddick's hand. "Please What?! I have given you EVERYTHING! EVERYTHING you could ever ask for. And all I ask for in return is your love... your heart" he smiled softly at her as he reached out his hand, softly brushing back her hair from her face. All of a sudden his eyes grew dark and his hand grasped her by the back of her head roughly, lacing his fingers in her hair as he yanked her face up to his. "I left my head around your heart... my heart around your soul... Why would you want to TEAR MY WORLD APART?!" he screamed in her face as he lifted the gun, pressing against her temple. "Answer me!" "Riddick! Please!" her hands pushed on his chest, her nails clawing at him... begging for him to let her go. "Riddick... you love me... you wouldn't hurt me... now please... please... just put the gun down. Please?" her eyes begged him... pleaded with him to see reason. Riddick squinted his eyes at her, trying to see if she was playing him... playing with his feelings like she always had. Slowly he eased his grip on her and unlaced his fingers from her hair, but still kept the gun pressed at her temple as he leaned down to her face, his lips only a mere inch from hers. "Let me tell you something... I hear things. Voices. But this one voice in particular stands out. It's telling me... "Don't be so blind... she doesn't love you. She's playing you." Are you playing me, baby? Don't you love me... just as much as I love you?" Her eyes gazed up on Riddick as she carefully considered her words. "Of course I love you. I have always loved you and I always... always... always... always... always... always... always... will." her hand shook as she reached it up to softly stroke his cheek. His features softened and he smiled down at her beautiful face as his fingers moved to her cheek, stroking her white, flawless skin. "Am I your one and only desire? Am I the reason you breathe?" he whispered softly as he leaned in closer to her lips, closing his eyes as he brushed his own over them, slowly swaying his head from side to side. She gasped shakily and blinked rapidly, as the man who had stalked her for most of her life, crossed a fine line into her very private and very kept personal space. She had no choice... she had to save herself from this monster. Be safe at last. She nodded her answer to him and deepened the kiss as her hand cupping his cheek, glided down over his massive shoulder and up his arm, aiming for his hand holding the gun at her head. "I love you... I can't live without you... I'm so glad you finally... FINALLY gave me a return on my love," he whispered against her lips as she slowly slid her hand up to his. "I can't live WITH you!" she whispered harshly as she quickly grabbed his hand and pulled the gun away from her head. Somehow she managed to rip the gun from his strong grasp and pushed on his chest with her free hand, causing him to stumble back. She pursed her lips and put both her hands on the gun, her finger grazing over the trigger as she aimed the gun at her plague shakily. "Baby... what are you doing? Can't you see? We are destined for each other... I've been looking for someone like you all my life... and I finally found you. I can't leave you. I can't live without you," he spoke softly as he took slow steps towards her, ignoring the gun aimed at him. He was sure she wouldn't shoot him. She loves him. "Don't come any closer. I'm WARNING YOU!" she cried out, tears starting to run down over her cheeks. "Please... don't make me shoot you..." He started to laugh and he shook his head at her. "You can't shoot me. You can't hurt someone you love," he said with a smile and took yet another step towards her. "STOP!," she yelled, stretching her arms out towards him, her finger threatening to press the trigger. "Why can't you just please... PLEASE just leave! Leave me ALONE!" she started to sob, tears streaming down her pale face. "Because I love you, baby. You're mine. And I, as you so elegantly put it... I always... always... always... always... always... always... always... will love you," he said as he reached his hand out for the gun. "DON'T MO--!" her words were again silenced by a gunshot and she started to shake violently as his massive form took a step back with a hand held over his chest. She looked on in disbelief as he once again sank to his knees, his hand moving from his chest up in front of his eyes. "YOU BITCH!" he roared seeing blood on his fingers... his own blood. "You fucking shot me!" he tried to get up on his feet, but stumbled back down. Holding himself off of the floor by a clenched fist pressed into the carpet, he watched his blood stain the soft white surface. She lowered the gun as she watched him fall down on his side, spitting blood onto the floor as he lifted his glazed eyes to hers. He reached his blood-soaked hand up to her and she took a step back, inching away from him. "Please, baby... Why?" he coughed and spat again, more blood forming stains on the carpet. "Why? Haven't I always been good to you?" She blinked slowly and sniffled as she reached up her free hand to wipe her eyes. He did it again. Made her cry. "I see your blood all over your hands... and you know what? I don't care. I'm standing here... with a GUN in my hands. I just shot you... and I still don't care, you son of a bitch! You made my life a living hell. I trusted you... and you took that trust and crumbled it in your hands. Was it all... just a part your plan? Get me to trust you... and then just..." she took in a deep breath and a small smile crept up on her lips as she heard him start to gasp for air, his hand still reaching for her. She let the gun slip from her fingers and took a step towards him as his eyes closed and his hand fell to floor. She crouched down beside him and laid her shaking hand on his cheek. "Burn in hell," she said through her clenched teeth as she stroked his cheek and rose to her feet. She gave his dying body one last glance as she walked over to the door. Her trembling fingers unlocked it and then opened it slowly. She stopped halfway out the door and closed her eyes. "I hate you... and life in solitude is all you deserve." The door closed behind her and Riddick's eyes opened. "I love you, Jack... always... always... always... alwa--" One last whisper slid of his blood smeared lips as he exhaled his last breath.
